Notice of Temporary Closure to Visitors Due to Exhibition Renewal Work in the Paid Exhibition Rooms and Certain Areas (Information Corner & Guidance Corner) [Scheduled: October 2026 to March 2027]

During the above period, we are planning an exhibition renewal project at the Iwami Ginzan World Heritage Center in preparation for the 20th anniversary of its World Heritage inscription and the 500th anniversary of the discovery of Iwami Ginzan in 2027.
Site guidance, tourist information, use of the on-site restrooms, the limited Okubo Mabu (Mine Shaft) public tour, hands-on activities, and sales of goods will be provided as usual.

[World Heritage Series] There are conditions for receiving the special Logget Card for "World Heritage Site Iwami Ginzan Silver Mine".

Iwami Ginzan World Heritage Center／Iwami Ginzan Ryugenji Mabu Mine Shaft／Important Cultural Property: Kumagai Family Residence
Conditions: Distribution will be limited to those who have entered (for a fee) all three of the above facilities and who request it.
*When registering at the third facility, you will need to present the ticket stubs from the other two facilities. Only one ticket will be handed to each person.
[Please note] The Kumagai Family Residence, a designated Important Cultural Property, is closed on the following days:It’s every Tuesday (or the following day if Tuesday is a public holiday).

The Iwami Silver Mine Road (Yunotsu Okidomari Road and Shimo-rozaka Municipal Road) is closed to traffic.

A section of the trail has collapsed on the Fururozaka mountain trail (Fururozaka City Road) of the Iwami Ginzan Road (Yunotsu Okidomari Road).

Due to the risk of further collapses and landslides caused by weather conditions, the section between “Goro Bridge” and “Sakaneguchi Checkpoint Ruins” is closed to traffic.
